Probably the treasury folks and the federal reserve bankers are more qualified for their jobs than the average hod carrier would be, but it does seem that there have been a large number of non-optimum decisions made in the past few decades, up to today. No guessing what will happen tomorrow though. The big problem with strings of wrong choices is that there is no magic reset button to give a second chance to get it right.
I have figured that the way to make a good profit buying and selling stocks is to buy before the price rises, and then sell at the higher price just before there are no longer any buyers. That is because, i have deduced, there must be somebody to buy in order for a sale to happen. Sort of like physics, "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." We can say that "for every sale there must be a buyer"
Thus the wisdom that works is knowing that moment just before there are no longer buyers willing to pay the price.
There is an intrinsic flaw in the whole concept of a minimum wage, which is that the amount is linked to the recipients needs. The pay amount is normally linked to the value delivered, just like purchasing products at a store, at least, at some stores. Employment is not a charity operation, usually. Folks are mostly paid based on the value they can provide to the employer. The exception is primarily CEOs and boards of directors, who seem to be paid based on their ability to "speak sunshine" to investors, both current and potential.
The A-Z vaccine scare is unusual because ao much is unknown about the details. Consider how many folks have had the stuff and not had any problems at all is my point. If a million used the vaccine with no problems and then two did have problems, the evidence points far more at the two, as I see it.
"Will it Hold?" is probably determined by emotions at this point, and so without some much better supported data it is a guess. It looks like profit-taking is already happening.
AMD has been around for a lot of years and has been consistent in producing useful high quality integrated circuits. They have been doing things right since at least the mid 1970's. An impressive track record indeed.
It should be rather clear to all by now that Chairman Powell does not care about the 90% of Americans who are not involved with the financial sector and the stock market. Of course the path to where we are now iis not easy to reverse direction and recover from. In fact, it may be a disaster that does a whole lot of damage, and recovery may never be complete. That does happen. It may be that the light seen ahead is not the end of the long tunnel, but instead a fast freight train headed our way.
I would give this article all five stars, and now finally they are functioning. There was a small "correction" in the internet connectivity, it appears.
