Powell Talks Some More

Bad news about bad weather caused by global warming. Here is an interesting thought: What appears to be a greater amount of carbon dioxide concentration might instead be a drop in the oxygen concentration. Consider that pure oxygen suitable for breathing is released by plants, including all of those that have been deforested and are no longer delivering oxygen. Answer this question: where else does breathable oxygen come from???

Risk Aversion Is Seeping Into The Narrative Once Again

Banks pushing back harder than the fed against inflation? I should hope so. Perhaps there is an understanding of the damage that inflation causes. And it is always interesting to hear the explanations as to why guesses were wrong.

Besides that, "transitory inflation" is always a lie. The correct term is "growing inflation"

Small Businesses Unable To Find Employees

Why is it so hard to find GOOD employees?? The first reason is that for so long the headhunters have been avoiding those folks who were out of work. They would not even be considered.

Of course there is another reason, which can be called "The MTV Syndrome" Those folks are not able to focus their attention long enough to learn a job or even to complete task. That tends to reduce the suitability for most jobs. Years ago an MTV founder explained that they were working to train viewers to never have their attention captured by anything. And they succeeded in doing just that. Ask any public school teacher about the ability to focus attention as being a problem. Be prepared for a lengthly response.

Of course along with that handicap comes an attitude problem as well.

Keep in mind that "transitory" does not at all mean "short term" or even imply temporary. At best it means not permanent. So it seems that the lie is in the clever use of unclear wording. That was also covered briefly in my high school class on recognizing propaganda. A very useful section of the section on how government works.

It is not simple to evaluate the activities of small entities by only examining the activity of the giants. That should be obvious to those who are ignoring it.

And the panic-mongers predicting large ocean rises have failed seventh grade math. The actual rise, if all of the ice melts, will only be measurable with good equipment.

Far more urgent will be the depletion of oxygen caused by the massive deforestation. How many have actually considered where oxygen comes from??? How else is breathable oxygen restored? Answer that one, folks!

What's Up With China Stocks?

Unfortunately it is a bit risky to accept any analysis of the motivations of the China government. It is, after all, still very much a police state, whoserules must be obeyed.
