They have been saying this about the movie industry for decades. It was thought VHS and DVD's would see the end to movie theater's but it has not. Home theater's are just not the same. I also disagree that home theater's are better. They are not, unless you have a giant screen in your living room and watching movies is not just about the technology, it's about the experience. So even if they do release movies online at the same time, I certainly hope they don't go away as going to the movies for me is infinitely better than watching it at home.
