I've wondered just how safe air travel is. On the one hand, being stuck in a sealed container in close proximity to complete strangers from all over the world, sharing bathrooms and recirculated air sounds highly dangerous. On the other hand, I read one article that said air on planes are actually highly filtered and saver than what you'd find in a building. Not sure if that's true or propaganda though.
Regardless, I agree most people won't fly unless absolutely necessary.
I am truly baffled by the people who want to go to places like casinos, hotels and cruises. The weather has turned nice - so many great outdoor activities to do which are so much safer than being in a confined space with recirculated air.
I feel like we're constantly seeing that a vaccine is near. Only then it never materializes. I'm not sure if this is a result of the news trying to sow optimism or companies trying to pump up their stock price, or what. But the fastest vaccine ever took 4 years to develop and most take around 20. Any one saying they have a vaccine ready soon sounds like fake news to me :(
I feel sorry for those in Africa, and I admit, I had no idea this was happening. That being said, people are dying right here in the US. Is it so wrong to take care of our own first? America always helps other countries. What other countries are helping us now? When has Africa ever helped anyone?
"The government can't stop you from protesting as long as you are not contagious." But no one knows if they are contagious. If you haven't been tested, you may not have any symptoms, yet be infected everyone around you. And even if you were tested, you could have become infected after (plus 15%-30% of tests in the US return a false negative).
