I see lots of information and it appears to be telling me that making the smart moves will allow me to make a profit. Unfortunately it s not quite so clear as to which are the smart moves.

Tesla is always interesting to see and read about, but I would not invest in the company for long term gains, nor would I purchase any of their products.

Market Briefing For Monday, July 6

Unfortunately those with the ability to provide long term help have instead elected to protect stock portfolios by printing lots of money and adding to the incredible debt burden that will fall on the future population. Even worse is the rather immediate inflation that is being fueled by all the added money bidding up prices. THAT is going to do really serious damage to a whole lot of people. So while incomes are dropping due to the "close" orders prices will be climbing because of incompetent fools running the banks. But that will only continue until folks realize that the money is worthless. Then it will all crash.

Certainly this will not be a happy time.

The concept of a single organization having control over many or most medical research companies has a flaw, which is that it would allow one organization to decide the price, and to limit competition, which could deprive humanity of access to medicine at reasonable pricing.

There are many efforts to develop a working vaccine in process, and quite possibly a few breakthroughs already made. That is good news. The bad news is that the FDA has a long hard path to follow before any lives can be saved. Probably the most cruel part is that "double blind Test" where a large number of people who are confirmed affected are given either the cure or an ineffective fake, while all being told that they will be cured. So half are left to suffer and die while half may be saved.

The logic makes a bit of sense but the reality is horribly cruel. And the delay is many months.

Under most conditions and in most applications aluminum is subject to corrosion that changes the properties of the metal. Mostly the problem is a loss of mechanical strength, development of porosity, and a drastic increase in electrical resistance.

All of the methods used to reduce these changes add to the cost of aluminum parts.

Aluminum is a more reactive element and as such this propensity is basic to the material.

OK, and I suppose that the failure to disclose is not the same as outright lies. And perhaps those "agreements" were not quite the same as actual contracts.

Keeping secrets is a bit different, I suppose.

What Powell And Lagarde Told The G7?

it appears that my rather expensive lesson is that while gold does not provide as great an appreciation in good times, and not much in the line of earnings, that it is stable in value, although not in price.

Also, it becomes even more clear that there is a trade-off between profit and stability.

The failure is rather disturbing, but since the prices paid are not known, it may be that they got a better deal elsewhere..

So evidently somebody lied while the negotiations were in progress.

Am I the only one who has been lied to before? Was nobody looking at the rest of the suppliers? Did nobody wonder why China would agree to pay higher prices than those offered by others?

Certainly the loss of the sales is unfortunate, and if other buyers are not found there may be a serious surplus.

Unfortunately, given the state of our state, it may be that a whole lot of folks need to get used to eating soybeans.

A car is much more than just the drive system, and battery cooling is certainly one of those "less glorious" and exiting parts of the vehicle. The problem is with aluminum, and always has been, in every auto that uses it. Of course, it is also a challenge in aircraft, but there reliability is more important than minimum cost, and so the extra effort is made. Consumer auto products seem to not have that luxury.

But just like all other CEOs, Elon Musk is obligated to only spout sunshine. The share price proves that he is very good at it. That is why many very talented people become stars.

Some falling stars are very bright, and sometimes they make a very loud noise as they explode. That is fact, not a guess.
