Cannabis Central: Pot Stock Index Went Flat On Friday

This collection of stocks, the munKNEE Pure-Play* Pot Stock Index, is the exact opposite of diversified. It represents a place for investment in a new sector, which seems like a worthwhile offering. As such it is a FOCUSED index, not really diversified at all.

Being different also means that it will not perform the same as those highly diversified entities that try to avoid experiencing flat spots or slumps.

So to state the very obvious, if you are different, you are not the same.

In Michigan the gas is taxed a whole lot, But the sell price is regulated by "the Oakland County Petroleum Dealers Association", in order to prevent price wars like there used to be back in the 1950's era. Thus there is not much competition to be found among service stations around here. I am aware that in the UK gasoline is taxed heavily to support public transportation, This results in a lot less personal freedom of movement,

Certainly this is an interesting bit of reporting. And shows a bit of volatility, also.

This comes across as a fairly strong recommendation to buy this stock. And if the information is correct then it would be a good choice.

NIO Shares Rocket Higher On JP Morgan Upgrade

Isn't it interesting that JP Morgan was also recently fined for some rather illegal trading practice? At least I think I read that. So I would be inclined to examine all of it's actions quite closely.

Fastly: Keep Calm And Be Patient

Certainly this article points out some hard truths: volatility is part of the high-performance package. That is how it works. Higher risks sometimes do produce higher rewards. And occasionally the do not. AND, never gamble more than you can afford to lose.

Quite an interesting direction of motion. And the prediction is quite something as well: Irwin D. Simon, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said in part:

"We believe that the strength of our balance sheet and cash position, combined with our consistent focus on our highest-return priorities, will generate sustainable long-term value for all stakeholders."

What else could a CEO possibly say, even as the walls come tumbling down.

Perhaps some changes will solve all of the problems, or possibly not???

MMT Is A Social Agenda - Not A Financial Solution
4 years ago

A portion of "MMT" smells a bit like socialism, at least from where ai stand. And that wise lady, Margret Thatcher, has pointed out that pesky problem that always exists with socialism, which is that "eventually you run out of other people's money", and at that time things become difficult.

So we have assorted government programs and mandates to solve all of the problems caused by governmental errors and the problem of greed.

Of course there is one place where it all works quite well, but the borders are rather hard to cross and the roads are mostly closed.

That is the Kingdom Of Utopia. ALL of the theories actually work there. And the unlimited source of funding is the production tax on their mining industry, whose sole product is Unobtainium, an incredibly useful element that is, unfortunately, quite difficult to get.

Cannabis Central: Pure-Play Pot Stock Index Had No Winners Thursday

The "Pure Play" group is certainly a non-diversified entity, which is fine. But we need to understand that the reason for diversification in investments is mostly to avoid exactly what is happening there.

How can something be both diversified and focused at the same time? And would there be a benefit if it could be??

Very few roads go only uphill, has been my observation.
