A very focused niche fund may do very well at times, and provide a lot of profit on occasion. BUT there is certainly as good reason for being diversified instead of focused.
Quite an accurate summary of the actual situation, I would say. And unfortunately it looks like accurate bad news, not good news at all. While some countries will be recovering faster than others, it will still be quite a while.
All of that debt will certainly slow the recovery a bit, no way around that this time.
The author sees a lot more sunshine than I do, that is certain. Some signs do look good today, but will that last? People are still getting this disease and people are still dying and death is such a downer for most folks to see happening.

One thing is certainly correct, which is that the economy was in trouble before this plague arrived. The savings interest rate approaching zero is irrefutable evidence of that problem. The existence of a problem was clear even to folks like me, not a financial wizard.
And now we have the financial stimulus money being fed into the economy. Certainly a lot of folks do need assistance, and so the help was good, But ultimately the increase in available money will lead to inflation. Not today or tomorrow, but soon. So the stock market will still be making some people rich, there will be a large crowd not getting rich at all. And when that inflation does hit, that large crowd of folks may be rather angry.
Four examples of fairly old men running very successful companies. Certainly proof that it can be done by some people. But how old were they when the companies first took off and became quite profitable? Like many other talents and skills, their skills become better with practice. Sufficient practice does lead to improved skills, that holds in most fields, except competitive drinking, an area not on the path to success and prosperity. How nany folks aged 70 and over start a company that becomes a success? There is a big diffeence as I see it.
Just like other non-diversified collections of stocks, they will tend towards all following a similar trend. So the venture will deliver either feast or famine, without much splitting up, unless one of the collection wanders astray.
Quite interesting as a niche market. yes, there are an increasing number offolks around with enough money to follow such lines of thinking. The benefits have yet to be proven adequately, since almost invariably folks that far in to the vegan religion also usually have whole lifestyles quite different from average normal folks. So the determination of the actual value is a real challenge.
Unfortunate about your internet grief, Vivian. Shaky technology poorly implemented will do that, as will less than expert IT minions. Unforunatet there is not much of a fix available.
As for holdings doing well, yes, some of them certainly are doing well. Good picking on your part, knowing who to trust for good advice.
