Use The Twenty-Fifth Amendment To Remove Biden From The Presidency?
Like most seniors, Biden is fine 95% of the time. He just has his share of senior moments... something Trump has been startiing to have more frequently as well. In fact in 4 years, Trump will be older than Biden is now. That being said, we can't have someone running the world's greatest power, who isn't there 100% of the time and it would be best if Biden bowed out of the race.
But it would be foolish to remove Biden when he's so close to the end of his term. Just like we let Reagan ride out his end with Alzheimers. Biden has a solid team in place that is running the country smoothly. We don't have to worry about any rash decisions that will torpedo the status quo.
In fact if we didn't invoke the 25th on Trump, when he totally lost it after losing the last election (though it was discussed), we certainly shouldn't be invoking it now.
It's Time To Pull The Plug
Last night's debate was cringe worthy. But I'd rather have anyone in power over Trump. He's a danger to America and democracy. We can survive 4 years of Biden (or more likely Harris before Biden's term is up. But we can't survive 4 more years of Trump. And Trump isn't much older than Biden. In 4 years Trump could be even worse.
It's Time To Pull The Plug
Are you basing this on Biden's abysmal performance last night? After watching that, I'd have to agree. EXCEPT, it's too late to do that. The Dems could have spent the last year building up Harris or some other candidate. Given that person the limelight, while being endorsed by Biden. But now, any candidate will not only have less name recnognition than Trump, but experience too. They won't have time to impress the electorate.
