I don't think it's a "conspiracy," I think its a very wise strategic move on their part to pressure not only Russia, but Iran and Isis. And I think its working.

That is sad, I've heard US airlines are doing the same thing. Keeping air fares high and just pocketing the additional profits. But for the most part, Americans are better off - paying less at the pump keeps more dollars in our pockets which we can then spend elsewhere.
