Twitter: Musk Announced Permanent Bans
Angry Old Lady 11/11/2022 7:35:30 AM

Let me get this straight... so if someone (e.g. #Trump) spreads lies, words of hate, incitement to violence, tries to overthrow our democracy, that's okay.  But if anyone dares to impersonate #Musk. they are permanently banned?

If you haven't sold #Twitter $TWTR yet, do it now.

Elon Musk Wants Out, But Twitter Says It Will Force Him To Close The Sale
James Madison 7/10/2022 11:15:15 PM

From day one I said that I did not believe #Musk was serious about his #Twitter offer.  He says a lot of things on social media that simply isn't true, seemingly only to see what kind of impact it will have.  Remember when he announced on social media that he was ready to take #Tesla private?  That turned out to be BS as well. $TSLA $TWTR

Advertisers gonna sue the 💩💩💩 out of #Twitter for fraudulent reporting. Explains why Dorsey split while he could.

Maybe Not Rush To Buy Twitter, But Definitely Don't Sell
Andy Wang 4/21/2022 4:52:32 AM

In my humble opinion, I think it is quite different in this case, as Musk had already taken a stake in $TWTR #Twitter.  In the case of $TSLA #TSLA, it was just one random line.  No matter what naysayers keep on saying, or whether people understand his logic, you have to give someone credit when he/she delivers results, as $TSLA #TSLA just delivered a record quarter.

Why Are You Smarter Than Elon Musk?
Dick Kaplan 4/20/2022 8:44:51 PM

Policing a site like #Twitter or #Facebook is an impossible task since the line between free speech, and hate speech is a very blurry line.

What is acceptable to some, is abhorent to others.  Spreading lies is wrong, but what if the people who say them are convinced they are true? You will never be able to please everyone.  What on Earth could #Musk possibly do to solve this unsolvable problem?  $TWTR $FB

Maybe Not Rush To Buy Twitter, But Definitely Don't Sell
Texan Hunter 4/20/2022 8:05:21 PM

#Musk made a number of spot on comments about #Twitter's limitations and problems.  And it's cencorship issues are hurting the platforms growth.  Selling $TWTR will drop the stock price, making his offer even more attractive. It increases pressure on the board to sell.

I don't trust Musk and he's a bit unstable.  Too hard to know if he's serious about all this.  But when he tweeted his intentions  to buy #Twitter, take it private and said sunding was secured, it reminded me that he got into some hot water with the SEC for saying the exact same thing about #Tesla, and it turned out to not be true.  $TWTR $TSLA

Twitter Breaks Out Anyway

As much as I hate to say it, I think #Twitter owes far too much of it's sucks to #Trump! $TWTR

Trump And The End of Social Media
Mike Nolan 5/28/2020 3:51:39 PM

Agreed. He spouts the most insane lies and literally encourages people to risk their lives with COVID-19, and then if #Twitter puts a warning to take his "facts" with a grain of salt, Trump blows his top.

Twitter Tackles Spam... Sort Of

Who needs to follow 400 new Twitter accounts EVERY DAY? I swear #Twitter encourages fake accounts since it inflates their user numbers. Bearish on $TWTR

The Trump Tariff Put Will Expire Worthless
Moon Kil Woong 9/24/2018 5:06:06 AM

The market is not going up because of a #Trump put, it is going up because of the tax cut without a spending cut. This is called fiscal stimulus and it has negated the rather limited drop in monetary stimulus. If anything, the #tariffs and shenanigance in Washington over Internet regulation is holding the market back. If tariffs are cut and the trade war ends it will be a positive just like if the absurd hearings on #Twitter, #Google, and #Facebook end, that will help those stocks.

If or when this happens is debatable. Certainly if the whole market starts tanking, hopefully both of these will end and the government will focus on their job rather than creating more problems. Unfortunately, this is most likely to happen when the economy turns sour, providing limited relief, but most likely it will not turn the tide by itself.

So here is a thought - if #WeChat copied #Twitter, but then expanded into mobile payments since nearly everyone there has a WeChat account, and the company has exploded in growth as a result, why doesn't Twitter copy them for the US and do the same? $TWTR

Twitter Plunges After US Monthly Users Drop; Ad Revenues Tumble
Angry Old Lady 7/27/2017 10:30:53 PM

Maybe people are so sick of hearing what #Trump has to say, that they are avoiding #Twitter all together. Seeing how our President just re instituted discrimination into our armed forces is enough to make me turn $TWTR off.

I would have thought having #Twitter as the official mouth piece of the US government (or at least #Trump) would have had a positive impact on Twitter's active users. $TWTR

I'm pretty sure #Facebook makes virtually all of it's ad dollars from #mobile. Not sure if any of that will apply to mobile anyway.

But I expect as usage increases, Facebook will continue to excel in generating ad revenue. For whatever reason, #Twitter never lived up to it's potential. $TWTR $FB
