#Trump didn't want to close the borders since he knew that would devastate the economy. He couldn't do that, especially without knowing how bad COVID would be. He really wanted to believe it wouldn't his the US hard, or if it did we could contain it until it went away on its own. Sadly he was very wrong.
It seems like the first wave won't end while #Trump is around. That said, what we are seeing is a migration from small business to larger businesses on an unprecedented scale. The economy is not healthy, however, it makes sense there is a mass rush to anything that grows or sustains itself. Be careful of basing things on past performance. Things like #Facebook ($FB) may not ride the growth wave as suspected from here on out.
I believe much of the difference comes from a unified message. When a country's medical professionals AND it's leaders show leadership and urge caution, people listen.
The US offer combating views with our leader (#Trump) making fun of those who wear masks, claiming they don't help, and "leads by example" by not wearing one. This confuses people and emboldens the slow witted individuals who still believe #COVID19 is no big deal.
For some like #Trump, I suspect even a single dollar is worth more than a few lives he doesn't personally know. And that's part of the problem. The only feather he had in his cap was the growing economy, and he'd likely let half of America die of #COVID19 if he can hold on to that.
If #Trump wins, the stock market will rally. Unfortunately, as a result, most of us will also then be infected or dead from #COVID19, and controlled by Putin/Russia which will replace America as the world's super power. It's a tough choice.
The stock market loves #Trump. But his approval rating is at an all time low and his lack of leadership has lead to massive unemployment, riots, and the highest COVID-19 infection rates in the world.
I do think we need someone tough to make sure we get good trade deals. But I do agree that when it comes to both #COVID-19 and the #riots, that #Trump is a destructive force.
The #WHO isn't perfect. It's difficult to stay above politics or risk alienating a country and lose funding (like what happened with the US). But don't insult those brave doctors and scientists who are doing their best to defeat this thing. Even #Trump had great heaps of praise to say about them before he turned on them because it helped his narrative that he's not to blame for America's inaction, China is. But he's never accepted blame for anything in his life.
US Economy And Job Market Experienced A Sugar High

For some like #Trump, I suspect even a single dollar is worth more than a few lives he doesn't personally know. And that's part of the problem. The only feather he had in his cap was the growing economy, and he'd likely let half of America die of #COVID19 if he can hold on to that.
Stocks Could Bounce But Better Buy At Lower Levels

Liar, Liar
Why would Bolton give up the $2 million book advance? Has he said he would? Don't see why he should? But yes, #Trump is a pathological liar.
Most Americans Are Not Going To Be Able To Handle What Is Ahead
As long as #Trump continues to pretend that COVID-19 is not dangerous, things will only continue to get worse.
