#TRUMP

Feeling Manic?
Alpha Stockman 11/21/2016 10:02:34 PM

I think you are right on the money regarding #Trump's influence on the markets.

Viva La Revolution
Cynthia Decker 11/21/2016 4:26:56 PM

I recall reading somewhere that #Hillary's popular vote lead over #Trump was at 1.5 million and climbing. That's much more significant than you imply. Also, it's highly unlikely Trump will pursue prison time for Clinton if he wants to heal this fractured country.

Delirium of Trump Mania Wins Mr. Brexit US Presidential Election
Carol Klein 11/17/2016 2:39:41 AM

No one believed me, but I knew there were many people who were planning to vote #Trump, but didn't want to admit it. They didn't want to be viewed as condoning his sexist or racist views.

Ooh, What A Lucky Man He (Trump) Was
George Lipton 11/15/2016 8:07:13 PM

Fascinating, sounds like #Trump is quite lucky indeed!

Eirexit Coming Up!

Don't forget about #Calexit. Lot of talk about California succeeding now that #Trump won the election. But it's likely just that, talk.

Trump’s First 100 Days: What’s Doable And What’s Not?
Bill Myers 11/14/2016 12:49:28 AM

I'm not willing to go this far, but some will say the only way to ever beat #terrorism is if we're willing to go as far as they do. #Trump said we should go after their wives and children, which is a war crime. But might actually work to put a stop to many terrorists. Take Russia - no one messes with them.

There’s Some Irony Here

The question is, who would have been better equiped to handle the bubble bursting? #Trump or #Hillary?

Over $1 Trillion In Bond Losses In Days: Second Worst Week Ever
Moon Kil Woong 11/11/2016 5:02:06 PM

#Hillary and #Trump proposed massive deficit spending. Thus I have no idea what people were hoping for betting on for lower and lower bond rates post election. I guess they were betting Republicans held the House and Senate still (which they did) or that the #Fed would announce the end of raising rates and the US or even go back to #zirp. One can't realistically blame Trump alone for any of this.

There’s Some Irony Here
Moon Kil Woong 11/11/2016 3:50:01 AM

"I’ve already witnessed it here in the Silicon Valley, where prices started slipping this summer" Real estate in the bay area is absurd to start with and not indicative of the US. That said, there is clearly a #bubble, but it is not caused by #Trump, but by the Federal Reserve. Sadly, the next President will have to deal with their bubble popping. The Federal Reserve's power needs to be curtailed or they should be publicly elected or both.

Formula For Winning By Trump
Howie Sandberg 11/10/2016 10:08:55 PM

I'm impressed you were able to call that #Trump would win. It seemed to take the rest of the world by total surprise!

Voters Have Spoken, Now Markets Speak: Part II
Danielle Rogers 11/10/2016 6:49:25 PM

This is interesting considering so many people were saying that a #Trump victory would crush the market. Seems that has proven to be unfounded, but at least I now understand why. This election has been filled with surprises.

It Is A New Morning In America
Harry Goldstein 11/9/2016 9:05:34 PM

I thought the healthcare industry hated #Obamacare as it was killing their profits? If so, wouldn't a #Trump victory be good for the healthcare related stocks?

A Strong Rally Tomorrow?
Bill Johnson 11/8/2016 11:26:23 PM

Everyone is assuming the election will be "over" by tomorrow. But #Trump made it clear that the only outcome he's willing accept is if he wins. We could be in for a long drawn out battle that will make the Gore/Bush uncertainty look like a walk in the park. Trump has already filed his first voter lawsuit in Nevada.

Will A Trump Win Rain On Stock Market's Clinton Victory Parade?
Carl Schwartz 11/8/2016 3:15:14 AM

This is mostly just an anti #Hillary rant. Sure, Hillary is a liar, a crook and a cheat, But "the death penalty for Hillary's treason?" Yes, I'd say that's a bit much. Honestly, is #Trump any better?

Preparing For The Global Trade War
Barry Hochhauser 11/2/2016 10:54:40 PM

Interesting read. Though I think Verge's attitude towards "Trump-flation has more to do with his political beliefs rather than economic beliefs. I'm no fan of #Trump but Verge's condemnation is too simplified and one-sided.

Recession In 2017 For Clinton, Trump Or Johnson?
Kurt Benson 10/20/2016 10:32:24 PM

This pessimistic outlook certainly doesn't bode well for the next president. #Trump or #Clinton will definitely have a difficult time. It's very charitable of you to include #GaryJohnson who doesn't have a chance, even though he is the least offensive of the three.
