One Broker, Multiple Ways to Trade: How PrimeXBT Supports Different Types of Traders

There is no single trading environment that suits every trader. Some prioritise smaller position sizes and accessibility, while others need automated strategies, advanced charting, flexible margin settings or access to both traditional and crypto markets.

The right choice depends not only on experience, but also on the strategy, instruments, holding period and approach to risk. These requirements may change as traders explore new markets or adopt different ways of managing positions.

PrimeXBT, a global multi-asset broker, addresses these differences through one unified trading ecosystem that integrates two trading platforms, five account types and a range of flexible features and conditions. This allows traders to select a setup based on how they trade, rather than being placed into one standard environment.

PXTrader 2.0 or MetaTrader 5?

PrimeXBT offers its native PXTrader 2.0 alongside MetaTrader 5, with each supporting different approaches within the same multi-asset ecosystem.

MT5 provides a familiar environment for technical analysis and automated strategies through Expert Advisors. Different account types allow traders to select conditions around their preferred position sizes, pricing, leverage and margin requirements.

PXTrader 2.0 is designed for traders who want to access traditional and digital markets in one place. Its intuitive interface makes it accessible for beginners, while its intuitive interface makes it accessible to beginners, while advanced tools support more experienced traders.

The platform provides access to more than 350 instruments, including more than 170 Crypto Futures, supported by competitive trading costs. Accounts are available in USD, USDT, USDC, BTC and ETH, enabling crypto traders to access CFDs on traditional markets without first converting their funds into fiat.

TradingView charts, adjustable leverage and advanced risk-management tools add greater depth for active and experienced users. This combination allows PXTrader 2.0 to support both straightforward multi-asset trading and more complex strategies involving multiple positions, CFDs and Crypto Futures.

MT5 accounts range

Within MT5, PrimeXBT offers Cent, Standard, ZeroStop and Pro accounts. Each is designed around a different combination of position size, market access, pricing and margin conditions.

The Cent account provides a more gradual transition into live markets. Balances are displayed in US cents, so a $10 deposit appears as 1,000 USC, while one Cent lot is approximately equivalent to 0.01 Standard lot. With leverage of up to 1:1000 and access to major and minor Forex pairs, Gold, Silver, and BTC and ETH CFDs, it can suit newer traders as well as experienced users testing a strategy or Expert Advisor with smaller position sizes.

The Standard account offers access to more than 200 Forex and CFD instruments, with spreads from 0.2 pips and leverage of up to 1:1000. It provides broad market access and general trading conditions for users applying different strategies across Forex and CFDs.

For traders seeking greater control over how their available margin is used, the ZeroStop account combines leverage of up to 1:1000 with a 0% stop-out level. This reduces the risk of positions being closed automatically before the available margin is fully used.

The Pro account is designed for more experienced and higher-volume traders, with spreads from 0.1 pips, leverage of up to 1:2000 and a 0% stop-out level.

Managing risk and exposure

Different traders manage risk in different ways. Some prioritise clear exit levels and lower leverage, while others need greater control over multiple positions, margin allocation or separate strategies.

Across PXTrader 2.0 and MT5, traders can adjust leverage, set Stop Loss and Take Profit levels when opening a position, monitor margin in real time and receive margin-call notifications. Negative Balance Protection provides an additional safeguard by preventing losses from leaving the trader owing funds to the broker.

PXTrader 2.0 also displays liquidation levels and previews how changes may affect available margin before they are confirmed. Traders can select Hedge or Netting position systems and use Cross or Isolated margin, depending on whether they want margin shared across positions or risk contained within an individual trade.

MT5 supports hedging and allows users to separate strategies across multiple accounts. Its account range also provides different stop-out conditions, from 50% on Standard to 0% on ZeroStop and Pro, giving traders further choice in how they manage margin and respond to market volatility.

Matching pricing and holding conditions to the strategy

Pricing requirements can vary according to the instruments traded, the frequency of activity and how long positions remain open. Short-term and active traders may focus more closely on spreads and fees, while those holding positions for longer may prioritise overnight conditions.

On PXTrader 2.0, CFD trading is spread-based, with no commission. Standard spreads can start from $0.35 on Gold, 0.4 points on US500 and 0.8 points on NASDAQ. Crypto Futures follow a maker-and-taker model, with standard fees at 0.01% and from 0.045% respectively.

As activity grows, PrimeXBT’s five-level VIP program can unlock lower fees and spreads based on trading volume with discounts up to 70%. The Rewards Center provides further value through Cashback up to 10%, a Trading Bonus or 30 days of VIP pricing earned by completing milestones and reaching volume targets.

For longer holding periods, Swap-Free and Extended Swap-Free options are available across PXTrader 2.0 and MT5. For eligible PXTrader 2.0 users, Extended Swap-Free conditions have no 30-day limit or specific instrument exclusions.

Accessing markets beyond conventional hours

The right trading conditions can also depend on when a trader needs to access a market. Economic, political and geopolitical developments do not always occur during conventional trading sessions.

PXTrader 2.0 offers GOLD 24/7, allowing users to trade Gold outside standard market hours, including Saturdays and Sundays. This can be relevant to traders who want the flexibility to respond to weekend developments rather than waiting for the traditional Gold market to reopen.

Conditions shaped around the trader

PrimeXBT’s competitive trading conditions are built around flexibility rather than a single standard setup. Its offering enables traders to select conditions that reflect their strategy and adjust them as their needs change, supporting greater choice and control throughout the trading journey.
