Right now is an exciting time to be in business. With many emergent market sectors at present, companies are in a race to capitalize on, and invest in, these new prospects. New technologies provide opportunities that would not have been deemed possible just a few short years ago. Each US state has its own business leaders that are making a name for themselves. Let’s take a look at some of the fastest growing companies in the US.

BetRivers Sportsbook (Sports Betting)

Chicago has always been a passionate sports city, so where better to launch one of the most ambitious new U.S. sportsbooks than here? The BetRivers Sportsbook was actually the first sports betting site to accept a legal wager after the law for sports betting came into effect in Illinois. While they certainly have some advantages, being a local business, they do face some competition from outside companies that offer Illinois free bets and other promotions. However, with this market growing at an impressive rate, there are new customers coming along every day.

BetRivers is the sportsbook division of the Rivers Casino that is located just minutes from downtown Chicago and the O'Hare airport. They have an excellent website and mobile app that cater to their customer’s interests, as well as featuring countless sports betting options. At the end of 2020, it was reported that BetRivers was dominant in the Illinois sports betting market, with an average handle of over $135 million per month.

Blockfi (Fintech)

Over the past few years, cryptocurrency and blockchain technology have become a key topic for financial media outlets. It seems like everyone is focused on this budding technology, and new blockchain based startups are everywhere. Blockfi is a fintech startup based in New York that is experiencing massive growth. After a $350 million Series D funding round earlier this year, the company is now flush with cash. They have since grown and now employ over 500 people, both domestic and internationally.

Blockfi has approached the blockchain industry with a unique premise. While they offer a full cryptocurrency exchange where you can buy and sell crypto assets, they also offer interest bearing accounts and low interest rate loans, services that you will not easily find from other companies. They have no commission fees and are, of course, fully licensed to operate in the US.

DoorDash (Food Delivery)

When ride-sharing service Uber first launched, people have serious doubts that the company would survive. Of course, now they have surpassed all expectations and in-so-doing, have indicated to other entrepreneurs that the world is ready for similar services. DoorDash was built on this concept, but instead of ride-sharing, the company focuses on delivering food from restaurants and hosting a platform to browse takeout options.

Last year was the biggest year for the California-based company. It was reportedly handling 45% of all food orders across the US and posted revenue of $2.9 billion, far more than its competitors like Grubhub. With these figures the company decided to join in on the growing IPO craze, and by the end of the year DoorDash took their company public at a share price of $175. These same shares now sit around $185 and DoorDash is one of the fastest growing companies not only in California but the entire U.S.

Gulf Building (Real Estate)

Florida based real estate company Gulf Building has been heavily discussed in this industry in recent years. With the excellent year round weather, Florida is the ideal state for this company and they have certainly taken advantage. Gulf Building provides numerous services from general contracting and management, to luxury home building, and even large commercial and industrial properties.

Gulf Building was founded in 1991, and has steadily grown since. However, it has really picked up in recent years following the success of several ambitious projects that gained them notoriety. They were recently ranked #18 on Business Journal’s list of Fastest Growing Companies, drawing attention to their 70% growth in revenue between 2017 and 2019. They are currently generating an estimated $22 million per year.
