Plot

Later on, the female giant finds out their coins have been stolen and tells Jack about it. He denies it and says it must have been his brother.  At this point, the female giant brings the golden hen out, but Jack takes it along with the golden harp. He gets caught, and the giant gives chase. It is at this point where Jack’s mother hands him an axe. He cuts down the stalk, and the giant falls and dies.

 

Gameplay

It is after this story when the game begins. Here, you find yourself in a role-playing game. You are Jack, and your job is to travel to the open-world. What you need to do here is to explore the town and find collectibles.  

The game gives you an opportunity to destroy stuff, and you meet people along the way who give you missions. You need to find the secret tokens to extend your time, as each round lasts less than three minutes. Basically, this game is a race against time where you have to find tokens. As Jack, your character has the power to wreak havoc. You have to destroy houses, barns, and boxes to find the tokens or coins.  

Every level has a goal: 

• In the first scene, your duty is to find the gate that leads to the market. Once you have found this, you will be taken to the next level. 

• On the next level, your goal is to get to the cheese business. As usual, you have to find more tokens. 

• Once you find the cheese dealer, a new level would commence.   

The game does not have a complete version yet, but the premise is that as Jack, you run in an open world, destroying everything along your path. Basically, you have to explore this world, test if you are capable of going inside houses, or if you need special privileges to get inside them. 

 

Jack the GiantKiller
 

This is an old arcade game that was published in 1982 by Cinematronix. Here, you play the role of Jack, and your duty is to climb the stalk. This stalk has several branches, and there are enemies crawling on them. You must avoid the enemies, or you will “lose a life”. 

 As you climb, you must also take into consideration the stalk position. If the branch turns left, you must turn left. Climbing above that corner will cause you to fall and lose a life. You can jump from one branch to another, and you must use this skill to avoid the enemies that look like monsters. The branches look like a labyrinth, and you must find your way to the top. As you climb, you can pick red fruits and use this fruit to shoot your enemies.

 Your progress in the game will determine the types of enemies you meet along the way. Close to the top, there will be yellow enemies that can fly. You need to make quick decisions to avoid them—you can stay where you are or jump. 

 Once you hit the top, the game interface changes. This is the second level, and you will see the giant perched on top. This level is made of several bars that represent floors. Each floor has gaps, and you need to jump these gaps. A part of the floor has a set of stairs that leads to the upper floor, and you have to use these stairs to get to the giant. You must do this while avoiding enemies coming at you and also preventing yourself from falling through the gaps.

 During the climb, a golden goose will drop golden coins, which you have to collect. As you get to the top, you have to get the golden harp. Once you get the harp, the game will take you to the previous level in the stalk. This time, your job is to climb down as the giant chases you. The giant is not going to come down, and you will only see his feet. However, he is going to drop rocks, and you need to avoid these rocks.  

 Once you make it to the bottom of your house, the level ends, and then you have to go back and climb again. This time, the level becomes more difficult, as there will be enemies all over. The interface of the level will also change, you have to face different puzzles and figure out how to get to the giant’s castle to steal other stuff.

In this board game, what you are trying to do as a player is to climb the beanstalk to reach the giant’s castle. The end goal is to bring back as many sacks of gold as you can.

 This is a dice game where each player takes turns. The game also has items that you can stack on top of each other to make your beanstalk grow. If a player knocks over that stack, the other players can steal his gold sacks. By the end of the game, the player with the most sacks of gold is declared the winner.
