This is a reasonable statement on $TSLA and makes much sense. I will say that I was much more gung-ho about the self-driving technology but I've become somewhat soured on it after reading several of @[Gary Anderson](user:4798)'s articles on the subject. He seems to have much expertise and believes that it will ultimately prove to be a failed, unsafe technology. While I do believe we'll get there eventually it has certainly delayed my expectations of when it will be viable. I'm thinking maybe 20 to 25 years before I'd trust a car over myself.

But you have to factor in customer loyalty and like #Apple, #Tesla has rabid fans. For example, Apple's stock should have tanked when it came out that they were deliberately slowing down customers' products so that they would be forced to buy new products - that's a complete betrayal of their customers. But it barely caused a blip. $TSLA $AAPL

Good unbiased take on #Tesla, which is pretty hard to find these days. I keep going back and forth on this company. People seem to love the cars and #Musk and tend to ignore some of the problems the company face. Others highlight Musk's somewhat unpredictable behavior, the numerous companies that distract him and only focus on the negatives. What's your personal take on $TSLA, Trent? Worth investing in?

Gotta love $TSLA. Not sure why there are so many haters out there. Probably people who have never even been inside one of their vehicles.

Why can't people separate #Tesla the car company from autonomous cars? While I don't believe we'll have save self driving cars in my lifetime, I still believe Tesla makes some unbelievable cars. $TSLA.

I agree. While #Tesla is facing some financial woes, it's nothing that can't be overcome. Amazon, Groupon, Facebook and countless other companies lost billions before they became the cashcows they are today. Becoming more bullish on $TSLA

I don't know if i'd agree self driving cars are a con. But in regards to a trade war, might that not be just as likely to help $TSLA? For example, isn't #Trump considering taxing car imports from Canada by 25%? Cars imported from Canada account for about 22% of US car sales. If such a tax goes into affect that might make a #Tesla more affordable by comparison.
