John N. Osland has 26 consecutive years of immersive board leadership experience in the enterprise technology and sciences space as a proven business builder. His passionate business building, corporate development, M&A, and strategic corporate leadership experience is backed by an academic history featuring an MBA in Finance from a Top 20 program and a BA in Economics, cum laude, with departmental distinction in Economics and Accounting.
He has thrived globally across both Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial upstarts with public, private and nonprofit directors’ experience.
John led proprietary, private equity backed technology companies including Chairman: Gravity Investments and Gravity Capital Partners ($1 Billion), Gem Pharmaceuticals, a biotech breakthrough in oncological chemotherapies ($20 Million) and CEO of Mad Catz, a public technology gaming company and The Music School, the largest for profit school in the industry and LandInfo International, an Ecommerce first mover in GIS.
John led a startup enterprise tech solutions business unit from $1M to $100M in 34 months. He co-led full spectrum corporate development in raising $125M in growth capital for emerging technology companies. He has a valuable network in the family office / UHNW /institutional wealth management space to include a decade sub advising Wall Street banks. He has collaborated with the Chief’s of Staff for three US Senators.
His 40-year track record in global enterprise technologies deal making highlights include verticalizing the sales force, co-founding the Global Industry Consulting Solutions Division, the Corporate Account Group, and the Business Partner Program for Intergraph, a Fortune 500 enterprise software company. John's teams were number one in the company 5 times over 12 years.
Osland served on the Board of Directors for Bethesda Lutheran Church Charities as well as their governance and treasury committees. Bethesda is a 65-year-old national Lutheran nonprofit that employs 4000 professionals housing and helping the disabled evangelizing the Lutheran faith. John led the Capital Campaign for Christ Lutheran Church and a General Partner in an entrant in the Indianapolis 500.
