Dimitris Melas heads MSCI’s Index Research and Product Development organization. IRPD is responsible for researching, developing and managing all MSCI indexes across all asset classes. Dimitris also chairs MSCI’s Index Policy Committee (IPC), the oversight committee responsible for the governance of all MSCI indexes, and is a member of MSCI’s Research Editorial Board (REB), the board responsible for editorial governance of all MSCI research publications. Prior to joining MSCI in 2006, Dimitris worked at HSBC Asset Management as Head of Research and Head of Quantitative Strategies. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering, an MBA in Finance, and a PhD in Applied Probability from the London School of Economics. He has published research papers in peer-reviewed journals and serves as Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Portfolio Management.less
