While I don't know much about it myself, I've read that much of Amazon TV Stick's success was fueled by the ability to easily add the Kodi app to easily (and illegally) stream virtually any tv show or movie. I wonder if Roku has this same ability and if not, if their corporate citizenship is hurting them. $ROKU$AMZN
Perhaps someone can explain something to me that I don't fully understand. I had always thought #Bitcoin was untraceable as a result of being anonymous. I had assumed this was a necessary byproduct to protect people's identities - one of the reasons it is so attractive to criminals. But it is also what worried me - that there is no protection from hackers or simply losing my digital wallet. No FDIC insurance for example.
But this statement left me wondering - "However, a transaction record is created. For this reason, transactions are considered pseudonymous, not anonymous." If that's the case, why can't it be traceable? That way, people's identities could still be protected, while retaining a measure of protection.
#Uber grew vastly my just "doing it" and worrying about the ramifications later. In way, this was very smart. As they grew and got noticed by traditional cab companies, lobbyists, and the government, it was no longer easy for them to shut them down. Politicans have to answer to voters who loved Uber and wanted to see them succeed.
Those scandals are making it harder to love them. And other countries are quick to ban them before they manage to get a foothold. #Israel just banned Uber for example.
Innovate is what #Apple does best. They didn't invent the cell phone nor the MP3 player or anything else. They indentify promising products and then make them better. This is what they do and what they will continue to do. Apple isn't going anywhere! Bullish on $AAPL.
I don't think that's so clear cut. #Netflix hasn't raised it's prices much and is still a bargain for what it offers. Netflix is still much cheaper than #Hulu which charges $11.99 per month (for no commercials, like Netflix). On the contrary, I think that this increase is meant to fuel a greater investment in it's original content since this is one area where others can't compete (at least not without investing billions themselves). And even then, loyal fans will stay with Netflix for it's original shows which they have come to love. $NFLX.
