@[Ultra](user:74841), that's not what @[DRM](user:130312) is saying. He's not saying the disease isn't real, he's just saying that there's a lot of conflicting info out there and that some people are over reacting and letting their fear get the better of them. You can't shut down the entire economy, or quite frankly EVERYONE will die from homelessness and starvation. We need to keep this all in perspective.
These are all fair points to argue. Don't shut down those who disagree. These are serious issues that need to be debated. Everyone wants people to be safe, but we have to balance those needs against people's rights and freedoms. DRM is clearly a patriot. He should not have to apologize for that.
He has a right to disagree and I've noticed he has always remained respectful despite having so many take a counter viewpoint. He hasn't resorted to insults or name calling s many would. Healthy debate is good. Please don't try to eliminate it by making people feel unwelcome.
You say you are one of the few using logic. But I've read some very logical arguments on this thread which have countered or disproved your beliefs at every turn. Yet you still cling to them.
After reading this entire thread, I think the issue is that you truly value the freedoms we have as Americans, and don't want anyone telling you what to do. It sounds like you are opposed to Big Brother style Big Government telling people what to do. That we should be trusted to make our own decisions, and if the idiots go out and inject themselves with bleach or go to a crowded party and die off, well that's just nature taking it's course and survival of the fittest.
On all that, I agree with your sentiments. I think you are diluting your own arguments by focusing on inaccurate or misunderstood, or already disproven scientific/medical statements. You do not need to try to prove COVID-19 is not a threat in order to safeguard your rights. IT IS A THREAT!
You yourself admit you take a flu vaccine so why are you repeating anti-vaxer talking points which have already been dismissed by the majority of the scientific and medical communities?
Stick to what matters: our rights! And some of us want the right to work (carefully, and while social distancing as much as possible), because though we don't want to die, in our personal situations, the greater threat is not having any money for food or rent. That choice is mine to make, and mine alone!
If someone else has a fat savings account and wants to hide out at home until all this blows over, that's their right as well.
#iRobot has too many competitors for me to seriously consider it's stock. I see nothing that differentiates it from the multitude of other similar products out there. $IRBT
Perhaps China has more free trade because it's tilted in its favor. China certainly isn't more free in terms of rights. And China has no respect for IP and flagrantly violates them.

Carnival Deemed Too Big To Fail, Rescued By The Fed
I'm confused. I was told that Carnival Cruise lines isn't even an American owned company. If that's correct, why the hell are we bailing them out??
