#Apple

Why I Became A Citizen Of The Dominican Republic
Kurt Benson 9/2/2016 1:56:29 PM

With #Apple, the company operates in America, makes a ton of profit in America, and takes advantage of countless services paid for my the US taxpayer (useable roads, police, firemen, sanitation, etc.). Yet the company is trying to avoid paying any taxes to America. Completely rotten in by book.

In Jeff's case, taxes are a minor component of that. Not to mention he actually lives in the country he's taking citizenship in. So I don't see anything wrong with that.

Personally I think the US is the greatest country in the world and offers unprecedented freedoms (Canada maybe a close 2nd, but I'm not Canadian). For all those who constantly complain, I say if you don't like it, go live in Iran or North Korea and see how much better it is there. But here's someone who actually did leave which takes guts even if you don't agree with it. Well, part of living in a free country is having the right to live where you want.
