more Former Financial Consultant and Senior V.P. of Investments for two national brokerage firms, and have managed more than $100 million. I've been doing investment analysis, financial planning, business development, motivational writing, seminars and personal investing for more than 30 years. I've also consulted with financial and investment publishing companies for the last 8 years. I have a Master's of Science degree in Psychology from California Polytechnic State University, and have studied and written extensively about investor behavior and the psychology of the investment markets. In addition to my role as an investment publisher, author and analyst, I've served as a marketing consultant to the investment media industries. In my role as a financial writer and editor, I specializes in unique, overlooked investment strategies, growth with income stocks, imaginative investment themes, tax-advantaged themes, risk management, technologies to capture gains and reduce losses, real estate related opportunities, effective wealth preservation techniques, and the use of ETFs for diversification and asset allocation. I also investigate and frequently write about technology, health sciences, energy and resource companies. Because of my training and background in Clinical Counseling and Psychology, I enjoy writing about investor behavior, the herd mentality, how to turn investment mistakes into investment breakthroughs. I've also written about the anomalies of the stock market's behavioral trends and patterns. Being both a leader and a team player who enjoys solving problems and helping others fulfill their dreams and reach their goals has opened many ways for me to be of service. This includes opportunities to volunteer as a crisis counselor and personal development consultant.
Biography My early professional years involved practicing as an individual and group counselor. Trained in public speaking as well as a writer, I organized, wrote about and spoke at hundreds of seminars and personal development workshops. I've always been passionate about the science of personal transformation, vocational evolution, why some companies succeed while the majority fails, and communicating worthwhile ideas both in written form and orally. I was awarded a scholarship to the Professional Development Program of Merrill Lynch. This led to my becoming a licensed financial consultant, a registered investment advisor, and a risk management specialist. My strengths included winning the trust of prospective clients, selling our full range of services to our best clients, and achieving top production for the investment firms I moved to and represented. As an accomplished seminar leader I had many opportunities to share with prospects and clients the most effective approaches to wealth management and attaining financial security. As a result I was promoted to Senior V.P. of Investments for two national brokerage firms. I've been doing investment analysis, financial planning, business development, motivational writing and personal investing for more than 30 years. I've also consulted with financial and investment publishing companies for the last 8 years. I've been quoted extensively and have written about the anomalies of the stock market's behavioral trends and patterns. I'm both a leader and a team player who enjoys solving problems and helping others fulfill their dreams and reach their goals. Currently I am the CEO of Advanced Investor Technologies LLC and Founder, Publisher and Editor of ChecktheMarkets.com. For my other services and to further the cause of personal transformation and good health I own the closely held company and the domain name Patient Technologies LLC. Whether for my business, websites or for organizations that I contribute articles to, I uphold the highest possible professional and ethical standards of journalism as a leader in financial reporting. This includes fastidiously avoiding the appearance of any conflicts of interest. My track record shows that I strive for excellence, live with integrity, enjoy contributing to the success of others and want to be involved with activities and organizations that do the same.
