Versatile Venture Capital invests in early-stage, capital-efficient companies. Our typical check size is $200,000 to $1,000,000. We lead rounds and will also co-invest. We can make follow-on investments into our companies where helpful. We periodically invest in Series A and later rounds with a reputable lead investor. We have particular interest in fintech and salestech.
Founder, Ambassadors at Large
Innovators for Democracy · Freelance
May 2020 - Present (2 years 9 months)
I founded the "Ambassadors at Large" program, an initiative to recruit CEOs, investors, and other business leaders, to tap their superpowers to achieve our goals. We asked our Ambassadors: Do you have direct access to media? Does your business touch potential voters? Are you aware of information that the media should know? Everyone can vote and donate, but what can you uniquely do to help our cause?
HOF Capital
March 2017 - Present (6 years)
A technology-focused venture capital firm that helps ambitious founders build massive, enduring businesses. Backed by over 70 influential families and organizations across 21 countries, HOF supports entrepreneurs by providing them with long-term-focused capital from idea to IPO, and helping them structure transformational partnerships with enterprises in its LP network. HOF today manages over $1.2b in assets. I joined shortly after HOF launched as the first outside Partner.
ff Venture Capital
March 2011 - March 2017 (6 years 2 months)
During my tenure, ffVC was one of the top 4 best performing seed- and early-stage venture capital firms in the US (see ). ffVC invested in companies with (now) aggregate market value exceeding $4 billion; we grew AUM and our number of LPs by 10x. ffVC's Founder recruited me to join him as the second Partner at ffVC in 2011. At the time, we had only our CFO and an Associate in the firm. I was a full-time Partner until March 2017, then a Venture Partner through March 2018.
