Nifty Below 25,700; Sensex Today Trades Lower

Asian markets traded lower on Tuesday. Japan's Nikkei 225 fell 0.39%, and the Topix declined 0.23%.

US stock market ended mixed on Monday, with the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq closing higher, led by tech stocks.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 206 points lower, and the NSE Nifty is trading 76 points lower.

Bharti Airtel, Titan Company, and M&M are among the top gainers today.

HCL Tech, Trent, and SBI, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.

The BSE Midcap index is trading 0.1% higher, and the BSE Smallcap index is trading 0.1% higher.

Sectoral indices are mixed today, with stocks in the power sector and the IT sector witnessing selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in the media sector and the telecommunications sector witnessed buying.

The rupee is trading at Rs 88.7 against the US dollar.
 

Titan Q2 Results

Shares of Titan came into focus after the company reported its Q2 FY26 results.

Over the same period last year, the company's consolidated revenue from operations increased by 22% to Rs 166.5 billion (bn) from Rs 136.6 bn.

With bullion and digi-gold sales excluded, the jewellery segment, which makes up more than 80% of the company's revenue, grew 21% year over year to Rs 140.9 bn. This growth was fuelled by the company's robust India business.

CaratLane reported a robust 32% YoY growth to Rs 10.7 bn during the same period, while Tanishq, Mia, and Zoya collectively recorded an 18% YoY growth to Rs 126 bn.

In Q2, the eyewear company reported a total revenue of Rs 2.2 bn, which represents an 09% YoY growth.

Meanwhile, the emerging businesses segment, which includes women's fashion accessories (F&FA), fragrances, and Indian dress wear under Taneira, reported a total revenue of Rs 1.4 bn, which represents a 34% increase over Q1FY25.

Titan reported a strong 59% year-on-year (YoY) jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 11.2 bn.

Zydus Lifesciences Plans Major Fundraise Move

On November 6, Zydus Lifesciences will convene to discuss a plan to issue eligible securities to raise up to Rs 50 bn.

The company stated in a filing with the BSE and NSE that the fundraising could be done through private placement, rights issuance, preferential allotment, qualified institutional placement (QIP), or a mix of these strategies.

The Board will also consider initiating a postal ballot process to seek shareholder approval for the proposal.
 

Cipla to Fully Acquire Inzpera Healthsciences

The pharmaceutical company Cipla Ltd announced that it had finalised agreements to pay around Rs 1.1 bn for a 100% share in Inzpera Healthsciences Ltd. After the deal, Cipla will acquire full ownership of Inzpera.

Subject to closing date adjustments, the acquisition, which has an enterprise value of Rs 1.2 bn, will be paid for in cash. Within a month of the transaction documents being signed, or within a mutually agreed-upon timeframe, the deal is anticipated to close.

Cipla said the acquisition is a strategic move aimed at integrating Inzpera's differentiated portfolio of paediatric pharmaceutical and wellness products with Cipla's strong distribution network and operational capabilities to drive growth and scalability.
