Asian markets traded higher on Monday, ahead of China's PMI data. Japan's markets are closed for a public holiday.
US stock market ended higher on Friday, with all three benchmark indices boasting weekly gains and their longest monthly winning streaks in years.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 173 points higher, and the NSE Nifty is trading 52 points higher.
M&M, SBI, and Sun Pharma are among the top gainers today.
Maruti Suzuki, Bharat Elec, and Bajaj Finance, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.
The BSE Midcap index is trading 0.2% higher, and the BSE Smallcap index is trading 0.5% higher.
Sectoral indices are mixed today, with stocks in the power sector and the IT sector witnessing selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in the metal sector and the oil & gas sector witnessed buying.
The rupee is trading at Rs 87.6 against the US dollar.
BPCL Q2 Results
Shares of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) came into focus after the company reported its Q2 FY26 results.
From July to September, BPCL's operating revenue increased 3.1% to Rs 12,200 billion (bn) from Rs 11,800 bn in the same period last year.
The company's EBITDA or operating profit, increased by 116% to Rs 97.7 bn, and its EBITDA margin increased by 420 basis points to 8.04%, indicating strong operational performance.
For the first half of the current fiscal year, BPCL's gross refining margin (GRM), or the amount of money the company made from refining a barrel of crude oil, increased to $7.77 per barrel from $6.12 per barrel during the same period the previous year.
An interim dividend of Rs 7.5 per share was announced by the company's board of directors.
The company has fixed November 7 as the record date to determine the eligibility of the shareholders to receive the interim dividend.
BPCL reported a net profit of Rs 64.4 bn in the second quarter of current financial year, marking an increase of 169% from Rs 23.9 bn in the same period last year.
The sharp jump in profit in September quarter came on the back of stable crude oil prices during the quarter.
Vedanta Q2 Results
Shares of Vedanta came into focus after the company reported its Q2 FY26 results.
EBITDA was up 12% year over year at Rs 116.1 bn, while Q2 consolidated revenue from operations increased 6% to Rs 398.6 bn.
According to an exchange filing, the company's total income increased to Rs 404.6 bn during the July-September period from Rs 389.3 bn during the same period last year.
Due to strong domestic demand and reduced production costs, revenue from the zinc, lead, and silver businesses increased 3.5% to Rs 82.3 bn. The segment's EBITDA increased by 8%, or Rs 44.3 bn.
The aluminium unit's revenue increased by 14% to Rs 156.7 bn. The iron ore company's revenue increased 5.5% year over year to Rs 14.4 bn, but its EBITDA fell 21% year over year during the quarter. At Rs 55.3 bn, aluminium's EBITDA increased 33% year over year.
Due to declining oil discoveries, its oil and gas division reported a 16% drop in revenue at Rs 23.3 bn and a 12% drop in EBITDA at Rs 10.3 bn. The average daily gross operated production fell 15% year over year during the quarter.
Vedanta reported a 59% decline in consolidated net profit attributable to owners at Rs 17.9 bn for the quarter ended 30 September 2025, after the company booked exceptional loss of Rs 20.6 bn during the quarter.
RailTel Secures Rajasthan School Education Order
Telecom infrastructure company RailTel Corporation of India Ltd announced that the Rajasthan Council of School Education had granted it a Letter of Acceptance for a project worth Rs 324.3 bn including taxes.
A domestic entity has been awarded the contract, which relates to the provision of Aadhaar enrolment and update services.
RailTel Corporation, a Navratna PSU, is one of the largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers in the country, owning a Pan-India optical fibre network.
