Weibo (WB) (9898.HK), known as 'China's answer to Twitter,' is a social media platform allowing its users to create, discover, and distribute content. With $14 million in net income and 521 million of MAUs in 2020, Weibo raised $385 million in the Hong Kong IPO on Dec. 8, 2021.

A Twitter-esque social media platform, Weibo is among the most popular brands in China's 2C Internet space. Weibo generates the lion's share of its revenue from advertising and marketing services.

Since 2015, Weibo has remained profitable for six consecutive years. While the company exhibits solid financial performance, its revenue growth and net profit margin have decreased since 2019. Weibo's business model is massively exposed and highly susceptible to political risks.
