Country ETFs Hot
Below is a snapshot of YTD returns for more than 40 country ETFs covering equity markets around the world.
On average, these country ETFs are up 6.5% YTD, with seven already up 10%+.Peru (EPU) is leading the way with a gain of 22.2%, followed closely by South Korea (EWY) and Colombia (COLO).
Notably, all of the G7 country ETFs are in the bottom half of performers, and the US (SPY) is the 5th weakest country with a gain of just 1.1%.
Two country ETFs are in the red this year: Kuwait (KWT) and India (INDA).
