Cerebras locking in a reported $20bn deal with OpenAI, alongside relationships with Amazon Web Services (AMZN), Meta (META), Mistral, Cognition, and Windsurf, signals that hyperscalers are no longer merely buying chips. They are building geopolitical supply chains for intelligence itself. AI infrastructure is rapidly becoming the modern equivalent of oil pipelines, railroads, and fiber optic cables rolled into one. Whoever controls compute capacity controls economic leverage. That reality is beginning to distort capital markets in extraordinary ways.

You can already see the outlines of the next phase forming beneath the surface. This AI boom is no longer confined to equity markets. Credit markets are now feeding the machine at an industrial scale. Hyperscalers are issuing debt aggressively because free cash flow alone can no longer support the pace of expansion required to stay competitive. The capital rotation is relentless. Every portfolio manager knows that underweight AI exposure has become a benchmark risk in itself. In practical trading terms, dips are being treated less like warnings and more like oxygen refills.
