The stock market is very similar to the rest of the economy with winners and losers, but many more losers. Many of today’s high-flyers will be unknown ten years from now.

Shares of Smart for Life plunged about 75% following its initial public offering on the Nasdaq. Blue Water Vaccines opened at $50 after having priced its initial public offering of 2.22 million shares of its common stock at $9 per share.

Shares of Credo Technology rose more than 12% in their first trading day despite a tough IPO market. This was the first big technology offering of the year after Justworks postponed its deal that had been expected earlier this month.
