Xavier Mendoza Jr. serves as a dedicated wealth advisor at Octavia Wealth Advisors, based in our San Diego office. His specialization lies in delivering comprehensive financial planning services to both individual and business clients.
His approach is rooted on customizing wealth management solutions, crafting robust retirement plans, and implementing strategies to preserve wealth. Xavier meticulously assesses each client's distinctive goals, priorities, and available resources. Through this deep understanding, he customizes investment strategies designed to overcome challenges and transform financial aspirations into reality.
Prior to his tenure at Octavia, Xavier founded Mendoza Capital, Innovative Financial Solutions, LLC. Upon relocating his entire practice to San Diego, he transitioned into an independent, fiduciary advisor. Xavier's binational backgrounds grants him fluency in both English and Spanish.
Xavier's educational background encompasses a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin's Red McCombs School of Business. He further enriched his financial knowledge by participating in the International Finance Exchange Program at Universita Commerciale di Bocconi in Milan, Italy. Xavier also holds a Certificate in Retirement Planning from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and a Certificate in Wealth Management Strategies from the AXA Institute at Harvard University. He holds the designations of Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) and Charter Life Underwriter (CLU®).
In addition to his professional endeavors, Xavier is actively involved with the community as a member of the Philanthropy Leadership Committee at San Ysidro Health, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for health equity. He is also an engaged member of the CalCPA San Diego Chapter, where he helps inspire diverse and talented individuals to become CPAs and empower them to excel in the profession.
On the personal side
Xavier finds joy in spending quality time with his wife and son on San Diego's beautiful beaches. During the weekends, he loves to barbeque, accompanied by the tunes of classic hits, all while enjoying the company of his family and friends.
