I am a collaborative and strategic leader and a Qualified Financial Expert. I have over 28 years’ experience founding and leading a financial services firm from a start up to a recognized provider of complex investment solutions for major clients across the globe, raising over US$3 billion in AUM. I was an early leader building out the liquid alternative investment sector. I served clients in 15 countries, winning mandates against top banks and asset managers. My edge was providing disciplined risk oversight, sharing transparency and knowledge with our investors. My expertise and experience applied to Boards includes: • Deep understanding of how to deploy capital, drive growth and performance. She has sponsored over 40 investment funds. • Strong Risk Management discipline and decision-making framework, having successfully navigated 3 global financial crises. • Global and macro-economic know-how that detects early signals – Virginia is good at spotting new trends and can connect the dots to provide insights to business strategy. • Governance experience, she has Chaired Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment Board and currently serves as Audit Chair of New York Landmarks’ Board.
