Leader and builder of successful investment organizations, with over 30 years of financial industry experience. Started several businesses with US and international institutions as clients. Directly managed and oversaw a wide variety of fixed income, equity, real estate and alternative investment asset classes, with as many as 200 reports. Interfaced with diverse client constituencies including: boards of directors, rating agencies, senior management, insurance business line managements, pension funds, banks, and mutual funds. Set multi-market investment strategies based on applied economic and quantitative investment research. Developed and applied innovative quantitative investment techniques in managing convertible, fixed income, and equity asset classes. Developed risk management and performance evaluation analytics both for internal insurance company investment management organizations and for third party investment managers. Integrated various risk techniques and processes, such as simulation analysis, economic capital allocation, and credit risk management tools. Instituted and led risk management processes like new product review committees and the creation of risk appetite statements. Served as the initial Lead Independent Director for a public company (currently heading audit committee.) Served as President for an educational non-profit Board of Trustees, as well as heading Finance Committee and capital campaign.
