My most recent FinTech venture is Algo-Chain Our whose mission is to ensure that those Wealth Managers and Financial Advisors remain relevant to the next generation of clients as we partner with them to deploy our Artificial Intelligence driven Portfolio Wizard and open architecture API, enabling them to offer a cost-effective personalized investment service.
The world we live in has never been more interesting, and what’s more anybody can now participate in the 3rd industrial revolution that we all appear to be facing. Over the years I have never really moved too far from my passions in life, which has been to combine an inquiring mind set to the unforeseen challenges that the real-world throws at us while trying to succeed in the competitive world of business.
Having spent the first few years of my career working in technology, designing algorithms to make what were the early days of the internet packet switching network work faster, I then found myself working in the financial services industry for 25 years, where I still work to this day.
Areas of expertise include risk management, structured notes, systematic / algo trading strategies, exchange traded funds, model portfolios.
As the years have rolled by, I have abandoned all notions that the end client wants complex products to a world view that says simpler is better and that the client should always come first. Being convinced of the benefits of giving the customers what they want, as opposed to what I think they want, is the only way to run a successful business.
Running your own business is not without challenges but is probably the best university course life could ever throw at you.
