Much to the dismay of my parents, I decided not to go to law school in 2002 and to pursue a career in Trusts & Estates instead - one of my best decisions. As a wide-eyed North Carolinian with a desire to go north, I moved to New York City right after college in 2003. I will always recall graduating from Campbell University on a Monday, flying to NYC on a Tuesday, and starting my first position as an Associate Trust Officer at Merrill Lynch on a Wednesday.
Since that day, I've gone on to work for other amazing companies including Wachovia Trust, WilmerHale, and currently Loring, Wolcott & Coolidge. I joined LWC in 2009 and have had the opportunity to explore many sides of the family office dynamic during that time, a gift I am incredibly grateful for.
In my current role, as the Head of Fiduciary Services, I oversee three significant groups within the firm (Trust Administration, Estate Settlement, and Administrative Services). During my time here, I'm very proud of the things I've accomplished including:
- Starting and leading our Trust Administrative Committee
- Implementing a tri-annual administrative review process for our irrevocable trusts
- Implementing strong policies and procedures to increase efficiency and decrease the potential for errors
- Forming our Administrative Services Team to provide administrative support to our busy team of Trust Advisors and Trust Counsels
In my free time, you can often find me spending time with my family, sitting by a pool, or pretending to play golf.
