I co-founded and have the privilege to run Equity Data Science (EDS) - where we are building the complete decision support and workflow platform for fundamental investors. https://www.equitydatascience.com/ The seed for EDS was planted in 2012 when Steve Galbraith (Chief Investment Officer at Morgan Stanley and Partner at Maverick Capital) gave me the blueprint to create a quantitative platform for fundamental investors. Over the years, as I built the platform in-house at his fund, I discovered the siloed nature of front office investment applications. Along the way, I also became a fundamental analyst and was fortunate to meet my co-founder and portfolio manager Greg McCall - who also saw the vision to create a modern consolidated platform for investment manager workflows. We commercialized EDS in 2017 with initial backing from my former employers with the idea to apply a software layer to these quantitative and data driven investment workflows. We have been fortunate to have our former employers and colleagues join us and now with our partners at Northern Trust, we have the backing to create the complete investment workflow platform for fundamental managers - combining data and workflows in a manner that harmonizes the investment research process - which leads to insightful data driven decisions that also provide continuous feedback to improve a managers investment process.
