Manage a $350 million "Buy Clean" EPA climate program under the Inflation Reduction Act and a team of 30 professionals supporting this program. The focus is on low-carbon label construction materials and products. Launching a $250 million grant program. Co-leading the development of a low-carbon labeling program. Strong track record developing, managing, and scaling sustainable product and procurement initiatives, especially those focused on the climate issue. Co-founded the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Initiative. Launched and managed ENERGY STAR Home Electronics, one of the most successful components of the ENERGY STAR program. Received EPA Gold Medal for advising on the launch of the EPA Water Sense program. Developed and launched a cross-agency initiative to ensure sustainability requirements are applied to the largest federal contract vehicles. Assisted Montgomery County, MD as a volunteer in developing the first EV purchasing cooperative in the Washington, DC metro region and a partnership to purchase 1400 electric school buses.
Previously served as Director of Communications for the ENERGY STAR program, the Green Power Partnership, the Center for Climate Leadership, and the State and Climate and Energy Program. Previously served as Deputy Associate Director for Sustainable Manufacturing in the White House Council of Environmental Quality and as EPA’s Partnership Programs Coordinator. Coach, mentor, and train government and NGO colleagues in partnership strategy, consensus building, conflict resolution, and Lean Startup applied to public sector issues.
