Shep Campbell joined the CBI+Central Arkansas Team coming from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana where he served as an Assistant Football Coach. Born in Dallas, TX, Campbell has spent much of his life in the world of athletics. His father, Louis Campbell, was a longtime Assistant Football Coach for the Razorbacks, and is currently the Head Football Coach at Sheridan High School in Sheridan, AR. Campbell’s brother, Steadman, is an Assistant Coach at the University of North Alabama.
Campbell graduated from Fayetteville High School and started his college career playing football at the University of Central Arkansas. An injury cut his career short and Campbell ended up graduating with a degree in English from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Upon graduating college, Campbell started his coaching career as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Baylor University. Over the years Campbell made stops at the University of Tennessee – Knoxville, East Carolina University, University of Arkansas-Monticello, Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia and Northwestern State in Louisiana, among a host of others. Campbell also spent two years working in the Arkansas Public School System. He taught 8th and 9th Grade English, as well as coached Football and Track, at Greene County Tech in Paragould, Arkansas. He then spent a year teaching 9thGrade English and Coaching at Sheridan Freshman Academy in Sheridan, Arkansas. He is also certified to Teach English as a Foreign Language.
Campbell has deep roots in Arkansas as well. Both of his parents were born in Hamburg, AR. His grandfather, Nap B. Murphy, served over 40 years in the Arkansas House of Representatives. His father, Louis, played football for Arkansas under Frank Broyles. His brother played for the Hogs under Houston Nutt. Campbell’s sister, Caroline, is a 1st Grade Teacher in Fayetteville. His mother, Ila, is also a History Teacher at Sheridan High School.
Since joining CBI of Central Arkansas, Shep has successfully worked with a variety of businesses ranging from the restaurant industry to manufacturing. Using The CBI Team’s processes and procedures he has helped to successfully complete $1 million in total transactions since joining the CBI Team.
Campbell’s experience in selling businesses involves helping Sellers confidentially market their business, working with Sellers and other professionals to structure various types of transactions, and working with Buyers to find businesses and obtain financing. As a licensed Real Estate agent, Campbell has worked with business transactions involving real estate, as well as helped to successfully negotiate terms of a lease. Campbell enjoys the process of working for a Seller to confidentially market their business, find the right Buyer, match Seller & Buyer together, and then successfully negotiate terms for a successful transaction.
Shep also enjoys reading and writing, as well as fishing in the rivers and lakes around Arkansas. Fly Fishing is a passion of his, as he fishes the White, Norfork and nearby Little Red Rivers. He also enjoys traveling and spending time with family.less
