Robert leads a team of investment professionals at The Colony Group to support the investment needs of their clients. In his role, he oversees the investment offerings and applies industry best practices to enhance portfolio implementation policies and procedures, as well as optimizes the firm’s processes for scalable growth. Before joining The Colony Group, he was a senior member of a quantitative research team at a BNY Mellon boutique, where he brought his extensive experience and insights into the investment process. Robert developed customized solutions for clients, oversaw the production environment, was in charge of performance attribution and portfolio optimizations. During his tenure as director, he aimed to deliver favorable returns to clients while serving as the portfolio manager for an alternative long/short strategy, a wealth management model strategy, as well as several customized disciplined global thematic funds, managing nearly $2 billion in total assets. Preceding The Boston Company Asset Management, he worked as a Research Associate at Standish Mellon Asset Management. Prior to Standish, he was with John Hancock Financial as a Calculation Analyst. Robert has two decades of investment industry experience and has a disciplined technical background leveraging expert systems to enhance business capabilities and inform decisions.
