Moved to the US in 1995, started work at a Home Health Agency, for 5 years, then promoted to management of a larger agency in Burbank CA. In 2001, got interested in Insurance, specifically the Professional Liability side, so decided to study for the P&C California License, and yes passed first time :). Worked for one year for a broker in Orange County, then decided working for myself would be a better option. So got a dba added to my license, and through the years of learning, and growing my agency, finally decided it was time to go Corporate, and got a New Corp Insurance License and opened an LLC, and that brings us to where we are now.
Since then, I have had the opportunity to add investing and to my portfolio, both my wife and I invest in the stock market daily, I believe in multiple streams of income, and owning assets.
A new goal of mine now is to help others who are interested in starting their own businesses, learn multiple streams of income, I am actively now hiring insurance professionals in the P&C insurance industry who want to build their career in insurance and finances, and now starting to advice and coach individuals who want to learn about insurance and start up their own insurance brokerage/agency.
I am not a licensed or certified insurance instructor, but I do have over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, I get a lot of people approach me with career questions, and the most popular is how to get started on forming your own insurance agency/brokerage and any advice I can give.
I am not here to sell anything (at this time), but after much thinking on this, I am now offering networking and discussions on how to start you own insurance agency/brokerage, pros and cons, and do's and don'ts, along with recommended marketing ideas, links and referrals to carriers and wholesale agencies to help you get started.
We also are looking for agents/brokers to work with our brokerage Peloton Insurance Brokers, on a Hybrid agreement, where you can learn, and/or build your book with us, if starting your own agency/brokerage maybe too much for you at this time.
