yes and no. a new paradigm - no because it's not inherently true. nothing 'forces' governments and peoples to participate in the financial systems (except econ. forces and dependencies) but this isn't an unbreakable bond. And also, it's a cultural paradigm with alternatives at least on the horizon - the sharing paradigm is (slowly) developing. The god has power only as long as most believe in it. If we all outlaw interest accumulation together, globally, the god is dead. But the high priests won't allow us without resistance of course. They won't be amused.
