Career to date spent largely in the independent research sector (created/ran Hilfe Ltd 1988-2000, managing director Lombard Street Research, editing and other work for other economics consultancies). I day-trade, the euro-bund futures market, and balance this with part-time editing work (to help keep me from going stir-crazy, no cross-over with the trading). Also, I currently own Independent Research Ltd and am in the process of selling the company. It is dormant but anyone wanting to have the name can only get it this way (if I wind up the company the name cannot be adopted by another, given changes to UK company naming rules).
