Michael has 20+ years of chief investment officer (CIO) and portfolio management experience building, managing, trading, and sourcing private credit, venture capital, real estate, private equity, fixed income, and equity portfolios for institutional and high net worth clients.
• MBA from the MIT Sloan, CFA charterholder, BA in Economics from UC Berkeley
• Strong strategy, modeling, public speaking, and client and team interaction skills
• Implemented impact, ESG, custom index with tax loss harvesting (TLH), and robo strategies and created quantitative and fundamental models that successfully managed portfolios
• Board of Directors, Board Observer, and Advisory Board experience, and past President of CFA Society of Orange County
• Consulted for the World Federation of Exchanges, the Colombian Financial Exchange, Accenture, high-tech firms, and as an expert legal witness; and has presented at forums and conferences in California, New York, Malaysia, Argentina, and Spain
Michael focuses on the global investment outlook, illiquid (alternative) strategies, asset allocations, impact and ESG implementations, economic and company specific research, structure and security selection, and trading relationships.
