Mike is a storyteller. While he is always happy to discuss whatever marketing, PR, and communication questions you have, his main focus has typically been content and editorial strategy.
To that end, he's worked with organizations like CIBC World Markets to garner interest and users for their more unique offerings; the New York State Department of Transportation to aid in the management and execution of their social media alerts system and customer engagement; and eBet Online, one of the first online gaming/gambling platforms to build their user base and improve their customer engagement practices (later bought by Sportech PLC).
He has also worked with influential personalities like Sarah Richardson to help them pivot and streamline their content creation and distribution.
As a writer, editor, and content creator Mike was most recently the news editor for Media in Canada, where he continues to freelance. He also served as the Head of Content for SpinSucks.com, the leading resource for marketing and PR professionals. Prior to that, he was lucky enough to report on the worldwide entertainment industry and headed the Los Angeles bureau for Brunico Communications' KidScreen Magazine. He also covered the Canadian Standardbred Horse Racing Industry as a writer for Trot Magazine, and a reporter for Standardbred Canada Online.
Mike is a jack of all trades. Master of... well, one or two, he likes to think.
He also has some new projects on the horizon. The main side-hustle is a graphic novel collaboration which he'll be happy to go on (and on, and on) about if you care to ask!
Apart from that, he has incredibly useful pieces of paper from Montreal’s McGill University (BA in English Literature) and Ryerson University in Toronto (a post-graduate BAA in Journalism).
He also loves referring to himself in the third person when writing professional overviews.
What else is Mike good at? He lunches well, and he can whistle.
