Micah Wakefield (CAIA®, AWMA®, AAMS®) is a wealth manager and Investment Advisor Representative with BRS Financial, LLC. He joined BRS in April 2022.
From 2014 through March 2022, Micah worked at Swan Global Investments as a portfolio manager and the managing director of research and product development, specializing in hedged equity strategies. As a member of the Investment Management Committee at Swan, he contributed to strategic decision making and assisted with daily risk assessment and positioning across all of Swan’s portfolios and strategies, with a focus on 40 act funds and ETFs, SMAs, and Swan’s overlay programs. He also helped manage a hedge fund and family office alternative investments.
Prior to 2014, he was a financial advisor and the Director of Operations and Trading for a wealth management firm in Texas.
Micah received his MBA from Liberty University and holds the CAIA® Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation and the AWMA® (Accredited Wealth Management Advisor) and AAMS® (Accredited Asset Management Specialist) programs from the College for Financial Planning.
