Amy Gallagher is Executive Vice President, Administration at Governance & Accountability Institute. She has been associated with the G&A team for almost 30 years, beginning her career as a college intern and has been a dedicated member of the team helping G&A grow through the years.
Amy’s responsibilities include aspects of employee/human relations, maintaining and overseeing G&A’s internal infrastructure and serving as IT and third-party vendor liaison. Amy also coordinates internal projects and initiatives such as the Institute’s online training programs, internships, the company website, social media presence, newsletter and blog, as well as research reports and resource papers. Amy is also responsible for coordination of event activities, both G&A lead and via collaborations with dozens of leading industry conferences each year.
Amy is experienced in the oversight of full-service research, issue monitoring, and interactive communication programs. Amy’s portfolio of skills have been utilized to create/manage communication and marketing outreach programs for clients, centered on online communications and database operations. Amy has designed grassroots, media, third party, stakeholder, activist, and government agency databases for client communication programs. Amy has in-depth project experience with research reports, issue monitoring, design, development, marketing and internet communications programs; design/development of custom public websites and private password protected intranet sites; development/management of customized, proprietary databases for client organizations in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors as well as web site Typo3 programming platforms.
Amy graduated from Dowling College with a BS in Computer Science. She holds advanced training certificates in HTML Scripting and Web Design and is expert in software applications, desktop publishing, data structures, file processing, security, statistics, operations research and Typo3 Web platform management. Amy has also completed the Dale Carnegie Training course.
Amy is an active volunteer in her community through her involvement with Girl Scouts of America. In 2015/2016, she served as Chapter Manager of Union County Mommies with over 1,050 local members of the non-profit organization, The Mommies Network. As Chapter Manager, Amy was involved with event planning, charitable fundraising, and marketing within the local community. While in college, Amy was active with the Presidential Scholars and Mentor Program and contributed to the school’s literary magazine, River Run.
