After graduation from Yale, I served 10 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and flew 400 close air support missions in Viet Nam. I then transitioned to Wall Street. After 25 years of institutional sales at Kidder Peabody covering Alliance Capital, Equitable Capital, IDS, Rockefeller Family, the Union Carbide and Exxon Pension Funds and many other institutions I switched to the buy side. In 2002, I developed the "Skyhawk" strategy, whose purpose is to outperform the S&P 500 while avoiding the risks of stock selection and market timing for clients. It is a quantitative relative valuation model using only reported fundamentals of each company in the S&P 1500.
