Max is an accomplished entrepreneur and product innovator with institutional expertise in investment management and financial technology. Over his career he launched and operated multiple successful companies and products, led a business turnaround, started an industry-driven non-profit organization, and operationalized mature business processes. Max began his career at Goldman Sachs where he was responsible for management and implementation for US Equity portfolios for the Quantitative Investment Strategies division, the largest quantitative hedge fund and asset manager at the time. After GS, he spent several years building a portfolio of companies, including an online community for law school students, a transportation technology company, and a frozen bagels manufacturer. After a successful exit, Max spent 4 years leading the MSCI Analytics business and servicing the worlds largest and most sophisticated institutional investors. Max is a founding partner at Alternative Data Group which provides professional services and technology to institutional investors who are looking to integrate Alternative Data into the investment decision process. Additionally, Max is a founding member of IDSO (Investment Data Standards Organization, investmentdata.org), an non-for-profit organization with a mission to support the adoption of Alternative data.
