Marta is Senior Engagement Manager involved in corporate engagement with over 15 years’ experience in in the areas of Responsible Investments, ESG and Sustainability.
Acting on behalf of institutional investors, Marta is primarily responsible for developing engagement strategies in relation to ESG risk and opportunities in investment portfolio as well as conducting engagement dialogues with companies on a range of financially material sustainability themes including climate change, water stress, labour policies, human rights and AI challenges, anti-bribery, board effectiveness and corporate governance structures within multiple industries, including extractives, energy, retail, ICT, and finance.
Prior to joining Engagement International in 2016, she has played a role in shaping a responsible and sustainable landscape as a senior research analyst and product manager at GES, an independent expert of the European Commission and the Polish Institute for Human Rights and Business. Marta joined the Emerging Europe Awards as a member of the jury in 2022 and 2023 Awards editions.
Marta has broad expertise in guiding companies towards strategic alignment of sustainability priorities based on value creation and ESG risk management, including policy design, materiality analysis, risk assessment, performance monitoring and reporting.
She has also been involved in developing ESG disclosure standards by participating in the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board industry working groups.
Finally, Marta has been promoting sustainable business practice as a founder and board member of the CSR Profit Foundation.
