Em.Prof.Dr.Ir. Luc Henrard has held several Board and Executive roles for Financial Institutions in Europe and in Asia. He has formerly been based in Belgium, Japan, the Netherlands and Hong Kong prior to his current positioning in Luxembourg.
In a banking career spanning 38 years, Luc has contributed successfully towards Generale Bank, the Fortis Group and BNP Paribas, both in the Business & Risk Management dimensions.
Luc is currently CEO and Member of the Board at BNP Paribas Fortis Funding (a fully owned subsidiary of BNP Paribas Fortis that issues notes, commercial papers and bonds on behalf of its mother company) and Chairman of the Board at the Don Bosco Institute Woluwe Saint Pierre (a leading technical school in Brussels).
Luc is also a Professor Emeritus at the Catholic University of Louvain, a former Full Professor of Risk and Finance at the Louvain School of Management, a former Associate Professor at the University of Luxembourg and a former Adjunct Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Throughout his entire professional and academic careers, Luc has always been interested in stress management and consciousness development techniques that are scientifically underpinned. He regularly lectures in private seminars on topics related to Human Resources Management, Wellbeing & Meditation techniques.
