I have spent the better part of 4 decades in the Managed Account Industry crafting and delivering investment advice for the Baby Boomer generation. As an active investor in the Fintech space and a “Baby Boomer” myself, I am witnessing first hand a major evolutionary step in the retail financial services industry. Firms like Lifeyield and Wealthcare are leading this sea change by bringing technology and asset management together at the household level to produce superior after tax results for its clients. In addition to now serving on the Board of Directors of Wheelhouse Analytics, and Lifeyield LLC, I founded the Lockwood family of companies which, upon joining forces with Pershing in 2003, became one of the largest providers of turnkey and private-labeled managed account solutions for the introducing broker-dealer and registered investment advisor markets. Prior to founding Lockwood and serving as Managing Director and member of the Executive Committee of Pershing LLC, I was President of the Consulting Group of Smith Barney. During my time there and at E.F. Hutton, I was tasked with developing programs that introduced institutional-level professional investment management services to the individual investor marketplace. I am also is very passionate about bringing new young advisors into the business. As a Board member at the Business School at the University of Rhode Island, I try to expose as many students as possible to the opportunities in the advisory business.less
